Bear Adventure
From time to time I give the children certificates. This could be for doing well in toilet training, for achieving a milestone etc, and now we also have star of the week.
The child that gets the Star of the week certificate, also gets to take home either Gerry the giraffe or Lou Lou the lamb, for the weekend. Each bear comes with his or hers own little back pack that has a change of clothes, a log book and camera. I encourage the children to take their bear out and about with them at the weekend, take pictures, and tell us all about it when they come back the following week.
This helps with communication skills, and story telling.
Parents can now log into this page and post the story themselves if they wish. If not I will do it myself at some point.

Rory was the first to take Jo Bear home on the 15th of May. This is what he wrote in his diary for the weekend:
I took Jo with me to see my granda and told him I have him for the weekend as I was the Star of the Week at Pauline’s.
Saturday 16th of May:
My neighbours looked after me while my mum and dad were at work, so I had taken Jo bear with me to show them. I took Jo with me when I went up town. I showed him some toys when we were shopping. I got a toy because I had been a good boy. When my mum and dad got home we watched TV, so Jo sat beside and watched also.
Sunday 17th of May
Today when we got up we had our breakfast then went to the boot sale on the Black Isle. After that we went to see my nana and granda in Golspie and I showed them Jo Bear and my certificate, to show how good I have been. My nana gave me a sweetie for being so good.
We then left to come home late afternoon and on the way home I was sick in the car
Next to take Jo Bear home was Reagen. This is what she wrote in her diary for the weekend :
Friday May 22nd:
When my mummy picked me up and we left Pauline’s house, I showed my daddy Jo Bear, and told him how good I was. We then went shopping to Tesco’s and Jo Bear sat in the trolley with me.
Saturday 23rd of May:
After breakfast I went to Aberdeen for the day, and took Jo Bear with us to Cadonas Fair. Jo Bear sat with me all the way next to my car seat. Jo also came around the fair with me and to the shops. We had a really nice time
Sunday 24th May:
Jo Bear slept in my cot beside me. He also came a walk with my dog Ceaser, and then to the local shops with me and mummy.

Next taking Jo Bear home was Jak. Here is what Jak wrote in his Diary:
Friday 29th of May
I came home from school with Jo and we had a lovely time in the paddling pool. Jo didnt get wet though. Then Jo played with my dog Chester, and tomorrow we are going to the Ness Islands
Saturday 30th May:
Jo and I went to MacDonalds and the to Whin Park with my sister Danielle, and my cousin Aaron.
Sunday 31st May:
Jo and I went with my granny and granda to the car boot sale. We took a photo of me and jo on the Tea Cups.
Message from Jo Bear : Well my weekend with Jak is over now, so I will be heading home to Pauline’s for a rest, so that I will be ready for my next adventure at the weekend………… Jo xxxxx
Well this is my second time with Jo so I must be doing something right at Pauline’s
I went into town today with my Mum and took Jo with me. I got a toy for being good, especially getting Jo again
I am going to Golspie today to see my nana and granda, so I am taking Jo bear with me to show how good I have been again.
My nana was very happy with me for being so good.

I got Jo bear to take home for being so polite to other people
When I took Jo home we had dinner, and then Jo bear slept in my cot with me.
Me and my daddy went into town with Jo bear and I got new shoes and then we went to MacDonalds
Today was Fathers Day, and I helped to paint my bedroom with my Mum and dad, and Jo helped too
My bedroom is now finished and I really like it, I think Jo approves too!!

I was really happy to get Jo bear home with me tonight
I was really upset at nursery when the boy in my class got a certificate and I didn’t. But I got the star of the week certificate and Jo bear !! 
Jo bear came with me to Perth with mummy and daddy. We went to see Runrig. It was very good, we danced the night away
We left Perth this morning at 9am after spending the night in a tent. Jo slept all the way home in the car, and I fell asleep 10 minutes before getting home.
I am sure Jo had a great time with me this weekend

Jo bear was like a small brother for Marta, they spent the weekend together and slept, played and shopped together.
Marta was even making him coffee, and really enjoyed his company

Iona really enjoyed having Jo bear at home and has been telling all her friends about him.
They fed the fish, ate, slept and played together
Reagen really enjoyed having Jo bear, he stayed the night with Reagen at her pals house and was around loads of kids and animals, shops and the park.
Pauline – I think Jo bear is a great idea for the kids, when I picked Reagen up on Friday she was delighted. Jo is a great treat to them. Thank you
Jak took me home today after he had finished at school. They went back to his Grannys house. She is called Joan. We watched cartoons until Jamie came home from work, then we had our dinner, I was full up after that and had a nap while Jak went to play
We got up after a good nights sleep, Jak put on some cartoons for us to watch while we had our breakfast, then Jak went for a shower and got dressed. We spent the day at Joan’s and Jamies caravan at Burghead, they own one there, but in the rush we forgot to take the camera, we will remember the next time we go. We got to run around on the beach, was too cold to go in the water, maybe next time Joan said. We got home in time for tea, all that sea air made me very hungry and tired.
After our sleep and breakfast we went to the carboot sale, Jak, Joan and Jamie all like to do that on a Sunday, it was very exciting to watch. We got back to Jaks house and saw jaks mum Vanessa, she put Jak in the bath, then off to bed ready for school.
